Looking for a Higgsfield alternative? What to actually compare
Higgsfield made AI video ads mainstream, and a lot of people searching for an alternative are not unhappy with the idea, they are unhappy with a bill, a queue or a watermark. This guide is the checklist we would use to compare any AI video platform, ours included. Every number about 2036 Studios below is current pricing you can verify on the credits page.
Compare the models, not the marketing
Most platforms in this category rent the same handful of engines. What differs is which versions they expose, at which resolutions, and whether you can pick. 2036 Studios runs Seedance 2.0 up to 4K with native audio, Seedance 2.5 for 30-second single takes with up to 30 reference images, Kling 3.0 and Kling 3.0 Omni, Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast, plus Grok Video, in one credit pool. For images it runs GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana, Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 5.0.
Ask any platform the same three questions: which exact model version renders my clip, can I choose it per generation, and does the price change when I pick a cheaper one. If the answer to the second question is no, you are paying a flat rate for whatever the queue gives you.
Work out the real cost of one clip
Subscription prices are designed to be compared; per-clip costs are not. Convert everything to the price of a 5-second 720p clip and a 5-second 1080p clip.
On 2036 Studios the Basic plan is $9.99 for 200 credits, which makes a credit about 5 cents. A 5-second Seedance 2.0 Fast clip is 19 credits, so roughly 95 cents. A 5-second Seedance 2.0 Mini clip is 12 credits, about 60 cents. A cinematic 1080p 5-second clip on Seedance 2.0 is 59 credits, about $2.95. A 30-second single take on Seedance 2.5 is 218 credits. Failed renders refund automatically, so you only pay for clips that finish.
Do the same arithmetic for any platform you are comparing. If a plan advertises a number of videos per month, ask at what length and resolution, and what happens to that number when you use a flagship model.
What 'unlimited' usually means
When we studied the market in September 2026, most 'unlimited' plans came with one of four conditions: a relaxed queue that can take an hour, an older or smaller model, a resolution cap, or a rolling window. None of those are dishonest, but none of them are unlimited flagship renders either. One large platform ended its unlimited plan outright in September.
2036 Studios does not sell unlimited video. It sells credits that work on every model, with the cheapest lane priced so a first clip costs under a dollar. The Ultra plan includes unlimited images on the value image lane, with a fair-use ceiling of 1,000 images a month that is written down rather than hidden.
Reference consistency is the whole game for ads
A product ad is useless if the label changes between shots. Check how many reference images a platform accepts per render, whether a face and a product can both be locked, and whether you can reuse a character across campaigns.
On 2036 Studios, Seedance 2.0 takes up to 9 image references and Seedance 2.5 takes up to 30, so a full reference pack of product angles, set and key beats can ride one render. Saved characters are reusable with an @tag in any prompt, and Kling renders accept the same characters as locked elements. Images generated on the platform stay sharp as references; uploaded photos of real people go through a privacy step first.
Text on screen
If your ad needs a readable product name, a price or a URL in the frame, test it before you subscribe anywhere. Engines differ a lot here. In our own testing Seedance renders full product and URL text reliably, which is why Marketing Studio formats run on it, while Kling draws short marks cleanly and struggles with long strings.
For printed designs with exact text, invitations and posters, use an image engine built for it. Design Studio renders every quoted word exactly on GPT Image 2.5.
Editing, captions and export
Generating the clip is half the job. Check whether the platform can trim, stitch, add captions in a style you would actually post, lay a music track under several clips and export at full quality without another subscription.
Cinema Studio does all of that in the browser: timeline, trim handles, six caption treatments, titles, music and voiceover tracks, and full-quality export. Exports land in your library like any render.
Try before you pay
Every new 2036 Studios account gets 3 free images and 1 free video with no card. They carry a small watermark; any plan removes it. Basic also comes with a 3-day trial. That is enough to run the exact checklist above against your own product before spending anything.
New accounts get 3 free images and 1 free video. No card needed.

Is 2036 Studios cheaper than Higgsfield?+
It depends on what you render. Compare per-clip costs at the same length and resolution rather than plan prices. On 2036 Studios a 5-second 720p clip starts at 12 credits, about 60 cents on the Basic plan, and every price is on the credits page.
Can I bring my own product photos?+
Yes. Upload photos or paste a product page URL. The product rides every frame as a reference so the label, colors and design stay consistent.
Do I need to film anything?+
No. Marketing Studio formats generate the scene, motion, voice and sound from your product shots and a format template. UGC-style formats use an AI presenter or a character you create once.
